CREATING A LEGACY

Meet Mal and Ruth, a couple that have always been eager to create wealth to achieve their dream of opening a business together. However due to their lack of equity and continuously “looking in the wrong spots and running into brick wall after brick wall” they didn’t think that this was going to be possible. Fortunately, this is no longer the case for them.

How did Mal and Ruth take control of their future?

Since 2020 they have purchased 3 investment properties. Their first purchase was in early 2020 when they purchased a property in Andrews Farm, SA for $395,000 and has seen a steady climb to an estimated value of $520,000. With a great deal of equity accumulated, Mal and Ruth have been able to capitalise and double down in Andrews Farm, SA where they purchased their second property which is due to be completed in 2023 for $420,000.

 

Mal and Ruth also utilised their superannuation and purchased a pre-existing property in August of 2022 through their self-managed super fund (SMSF) in Elizabeth Grove, SA for $380,000. Their property has already seen growth of $15,000 in as little as 3 months and they have secured tenants with a 12-month lease of $400 per week.

With a portfolio consisting of three high performing properties which will continue to grow over the years, we asked Mal and Ruth what they think the benefits of investing in property are?

“It has given us a lot in a short amount of time and has presented more pathways for us to follow. We always wanted to open a business, but we didn’t have enough equity to do so until now. It’s also a safe bet long term. If you do your research, which Pinnacle Choice does for you, it’s a sound investment.”

LET'S EMBARK ON REBECKA'S JOURNEY

When we first made contact with Rebecka back in 2019, she had already looked at investing in the property market a few years prior and knew it was something that she wanted to pursue, but had never taken the first step. Shortly after Rebecka had her initial consultation with Pinnacle Choice, she signed her first contract and began her investment journey.


Rebecka purchased her first investment property in Andrews Farm, South Australia in December of 2019. Rebecka got into the market at $377,000 and after an uptrend in the area she experienced tremendous capital growth and saw her property value climb to upwards of $100,000 in under three years.


Fast forward three years and Rebecka has purchased her second investment property in Logan Reserve, QLD for $473,200. The property is scheduled to be completed in early 2023 and Rebecka is truly on her way to developing an exceptional portfolio that is diverse and well equipped.

We asked Rebecka what advice she would give to everyday Australians and her response was;


“Have a chat and see what opportunities are available. Often, we think we’re not financially ready when we actually are. With the housing market in Australia, everyone should be looking to develop a property portfolio.” Rebecka couldn’t have said it any better!

As Glenn has been with us since the very beginning, we thought we would pick his brain about his lengthy experience with Pinnacle Choice

Glenn first came to us in 2019 before Melbourne's first lockdown. It was as if he had a sixth sense about it all!

 

Although Glenn was a little reluctant to invest after having a negative experience with another property advocate group that resulted in him selling at a loss in 2014, he made the life changing decision to attack the property market aggressively with the equity from his owner-occupied home. Let’s dive into the creation and growth of his portfolio.

He purchased his first property in December of 2019 in Andrews Farm, South Australia for $375,900 and was able to secure a 12-month lease for $390/week in May of 2020. With consistent growth over the next 11 months Glenn’s property had upwards of $70,000 in equity and he was able to capitalise on this and purchase his second property.

 

Glenn's second purchase was in June of 2021 in Ripley, Queensland and was tenanted in June of 2022 for $470. Since then, Glenn has purchased his third property through his self-managed super fund for $280,000 in Blakeview, South Australia that was already established and tenanted with equity up to $40,000 already available.

Where is Glenn Now?

With three investments now under his belt, Glenn decided to take the opportunity to head into a joint venture with his daughter and purchase a property for $435,000 in Munno Para West, South Australia. When we asked Glenn what the benefits of investing in property were, he replied…

 

“Obviously early retirement and the reduced tax is nice, but the biggest benefit has been the ability to begin setting up for my daughters financial future”. As a single father it’s apparent that his daughter is a huge priority in his life and has been able to achieve one of his goals of “Setting her up with a nice little nest egg so that she can live stress free financially and retire early and happy”.

 

We asked Glenn if he could go back and give himself a piece of advice, what would that be? His response was, “Stick to the formula that Pinnacle Choice will give you and trust in what they do.”

Hiranya was referred to us at the start of 2021, with interest in utilizing her hard earned savings to further create more wealth for her in the future. Let us explain, She purchased a free standing turn key home in Evanston Gardens, South Australia for $373,950 and by the completion of her construction the property already was sitting upwards of $40,000 in equity with continued consistent growth and she secured a 12 months lease at $405 week.


Since her purchase in Evanston Gardens, she has already moved onto her second purchase in a more rural location so she can diversify her portfolio further and enter a more unique and affordable market.

 

We asked Hiranya if she could give any advice to anyone wanting to invest. What would it be “I highly recommend giving Pinnacle Choice a call, even if it is just to start the conversation and go from there”.


Now that Hiranya’s second investment in two years is being built we asked her what she has thought about the process with Pinnacle Choice,

INTRODUCING KELSA & BILL

We had the pleasure of meeting Kelsa and Bill in 2018 after the completion of their investment property in Belmont, VIC 3216. After our first conversation, we could see that these clients had been misled and taken advantage of so we wanted to assist in getting them back on track so that they could reach their set goals and retire early. Sadly it can be common that some Australian investors can face some setbacks and can be wrongly advised. This is something that we strive to rectify so our clients and any Australian investor can have an honest and supported opportunity in the investment market.

Fast forward two years, Kelsa and Bill are now back on track and their financial situation is the best it has ever been. Within 12 years they have built their property portfolio to include a large family home with their first investment property in Endeavour Hills, VIC 3902, their second investment in Belmont, VIC 3216 and their most recent investment purchase in Andrews Farm, SA 5114 (pictured above).

Nicole is a secondary school teacher, avid Richmond supporter and a tennis enthusiast located in Korumburra VIC 3950, who met with us back in 2019 to start developing an investment portfolio.

 

“As a single woman with a great job, I always assumed my super would be enough and it would grow to an amount that would support my retirement”. We educated Nicole on how property investment can assist in preparing for an “easy” retirement and how you can use your tax dollars to contribute towards your mortgage and pay it off faster.

 

“I wish I had started investing earlier but I honestly never even thought about it. I am happy as to how far I have already come with Pinnacle Choice’s support”. Nicole now has two investment properties, one located in Newcomb VIC 3219 and her second in Andrews Farm SA 5114, both working towards a more financially secure future for Nicole.

MEET THE TOOHEYS

Since meeting with Damian and Moira Toohey back in 2016 they have been working with us in developing a diverse investment property portfolio to assist in allowing them to retire in the next ten years while creating a more financially secure future for them and their family.

They have since purchased three investment properties, one found in the Toolern Waters Estate located in Weir Views 3338, the second located in the growing area of Upper Point Cook 3030 and their third in Belmont 3216 located 4km from Geelong. Four years later they have certainly changed their financial situation for the better.

 

They have now increased their asset base, have developed an in-depth understanding of how the property market works and have used this understanding to recently upgrade to a bigger home.

“We are the genuine Mum and Dad investor” says Moira. Moira was born in the ACT now working as a Consultant within the education sector, and Damian was born in QLD now working as a Senior Technical Support Officer in IT and they moved to Melbourne to start growing their family. They are hard working individuals who decided to step into the property market to further solidify their future.

We asked Moira if she could go back in time and give your younger self some advice before looking into property, what would it be? “If I could go back in time I would take the same approach in developing a diverse portfolio but I would have purchased one property at a time” Moira Toohey

LET'S MEET KAREN

Karen is originally from Donegal, Ireland and moved to Australia when she was only 23 years old and has now called Australia home, working as a Nursing Manager for the Royal Melbourne Hospital for 11 years. Karen’s goal is to increase her amount within her super fund and to have a higher quality of life when she reaches retirement. 

 

When we met with Karen she had savings put away and she wanted to learn ways that she could grow her savings and make her money work for her. We did this by showing her how property investment can save her more money while redirecting her tax dollars onto her mortgage. “People around me were surprised I could do this, everyone was skeptical because of their negative experience, but here I am, in a better financial situation, with assets and about to make my second purchase.”
